Itinerary
Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong
Welcome to Guwahati Airport or the Railway Station, meet our tour guide Driver. Later, journey to Shillong (110K/m – 3 Hrs). The city is known as the Scotland of East. En route, visit the Umaim Lake, Don –Bosco Museum, and Elephant falls. In the evening, explore local Khasi market. Overnight stay in the Hotel.
Day 2: Shillong sightseeing
After breakfast, visit local places, such as, Lady Hydari Park, Butter Fly Museum, Latilum Canyons, Wards Lake, Shillong Local towns. Overnight stay in the same Hotel.
Day 3: Shillong to Mawphlang Sacred Forest
After breakfast, proceed to Mawphlang Sacred Forest (35 K/m – 1hr). It is a very ancient Forest Preserved by local People of Meghalaya state, where you can enjoy trekking & take photos. Afternoon return back to Shillong & night stay in the Hotel.
Day 4: Shillong to Cherrapunji
After breakfast, proceed to Cherrapunji’( 65 K/m – 2hr ). The city is known as the wettest place in India. En route, visit the Seven Sister waterfalls, Nohkalikai waterfalls, and Mawsmai Cave. Later, explore local town. Overnight stay in the Hotel Shillong.
Day 5: Shillong to Dawki / Mawlynnong village
After breakfast, drive to Dawki (45 K/m – 3 hrs), and enjoy boating at Dawki Lake. Later, visit India – Bangladesh border. In the Afternoon, return back to Mawlyonng, known as the cleanest village of Asia. Overnight stay at Mawlynnong Home-stay.
Day 6: Shillong – Guwahati Airport
After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati Airport. En route, visit Kamakhya temple. Tour Ends.
